Umair Tufail co-founded T3 Capital with a simple belief: disciplined investing, hard work, and an entrepreneurial eye can uncover value in real estate that others overlook.

He and his brother Sam built the firm from humble beginnings — a single hotel and a shared conviction that hands-on ownership creates lasting value. From that first acquisition they grew the platform deliberately, one opportunity at a time, into hotel management and then multifamily, student housing, and a broadening portfolio of income-producing assets. The two work hand in hand: Umair is the vision — sourcing deals, setting strategy, and driving growth — while Sam turns that vision into disciplined execution on the ground.

As Managing Partner, Umair leads investment strategy, acquisitions, capital relationships, and fund growth. Today T3 Capital manages more than $330 million in assets across hospitality, multifamily, student housing, retail, and other income-producing assets.

Umair began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he worked across investment banking and wealth management, advising on and managing more than $1.2 billion in client assets — a foundation that shaped his disciplined approach to capital, risk, and investor relationships.

Sam Tufail is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of T3 Capital, the diversified real estate platform he built alongside his brother Umair — spanning hospitality, multifamily, student housing, retail shopping centers, and flex space.

Sam is a detail-oriented problem solver — the partner who makes each deal work. He leads capital and banking relationships, fund management, financing, acquisitions, and asset sales across opportunistic, distressed-asset, and core strategies, turning strategy into results others can count on.

He brings executive-level experience across multiple real estate sectors, with particular depth in luxury branded hotels. Before co-founding T3 Capital, Sam worked closely with major hospitality brands including Starwood, Marriott, and IHG, and served on industry franchise councils and ownership committees.

Today he works closely with ownership groups, operating partners, lenders, attorneys, and investors to drive performance and long-term value across T3's portfolio. Known for his strategic eye and attention to detail, his integrity, loyalty, and genuine care for people shape the partnerships he builds.
